Experience:
David W. Miller, Ph.D is President, Miller Pharma Consulting, delivering worldwide reimbursement, pricing and market access strategies for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. With over 17 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, Dr. Miller has lived and worked in international geographies for nearly half of his career. His experiences includes roles as Vice President and Site Head of Elan Pharma Ltd., the UK affiliate of Elan Corporation. He also served as Elan's Program Executive for a high profile biologic. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Global Health Outcomes for GlaxoSmithKline, where he led a large multinational department with responsibility for generating and delivering information to secure market access, pricing and reimbursement of all GSK products in worldwide markets. Dr. Miller is the author or co-author of more than 70 publications and presentations. He served as a Director on the Board of Directors of Elan Pharma Ltd., was vice-chair of PhRMA’s Health Outcomes Committee, is a member of the Institutional Council of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, is past-Chairman of the Board of Grants for the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education, is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of California San Francisco and is an adjunct professor in pharmaceutical policy at the University of North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa and earned his doctorate from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, where he specialized in Health Economics and Policy. He and his family live in London.
